Please read these terms carefully before booking a surf lesson with GoSurf Sri Lanka. By making a booking, you agree to the following terms.

Welcome to GoSurf Sri Lanka. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website (gosurfsrilanka.com) and the booking of surf lessons through our platform. GoSurf Sri Lanka is a marketplace that connects guests with independent local surf instructors in Ahangama, Sri Lanka.

1. Booking Agreement

  • By booking a surf lesson through GoSurf Sri Lanka (gosurfsrilanka.com), you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
  • A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email or WhatsApp message with your booking reference number.
  • GoSurf Sri Lanka acts as a marketplace connecting guests with independent, verified local surf instructors. We are not a surf school.
  • All bookings are subject to instructor availability and may be rescheduled in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  • You must provide accurate personal information (name, contact details, experience level) when making a booking.

2. Payment Terms

  • All lesson prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of all applicable fees, unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
  • We accept major credit/debit cards and bank transfers. Payment processing is handled by secure third-party providers.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
  • GoSurf Sri Lanka reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time. However, confirmed bookings will not be affected by price changes.

3. Liability & Risk Disclaimer

  • Surfing is an inherently risky activity involving exposure to ocean currents, waves, marine life, and other natural hazards. You acknowledge and accept these risks by booking a lesson.
  • GoSurf Sri Lanka and its affiliated instructors shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in surf lessons, except in cases of proven negligence.
  • You confirm that you are in good physical health and have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation in water sports.
  • You are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations before your lesson.
  • We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel and activity insurance before booking.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the designated meeting point on time (at least 10 minutes before the scheduled lesson).
  • Follow all safety instructions provided by your instructor at all times during the lesson.
  • Wear appropriate swimwear and apply adequate sun protection. Rash guards are recommended.
  • Treat all equipment provided with care. You may be held financially responsible for any deliberate damage to equipment.
  • Behave respectfully toward instructors, staff, other surfers, and the local community.
  • No alcohol or drugs before or during surf lessons. Instructors reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated.

5. Instructor Responsibilities

  • All instructors listed on GoSurf Sri Lanka are independently verified for experience, qualifications, and local knowledge.
  • Instructors must provide a safe, professional, and enjoyable learning experience for all guests.
  • Instructors will provide all necessary surf equipment (surfboard, leash, and rash guard where available) unless otherwise stated.
  • Instructors reserve the right to modify or shorten a lesson if conditions become unsafe during the session.
  • Instructors are independent contractors and not employees of GoSurf Sri Lanka.

6. Age Restrictions & Minors

  • Surf lessons are available for guests aged 6 years and above.
  • Guests under 18 years of age must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian and must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the lesson.
  • Parents or guardians are responsible for assessing their child's swimming ability and comfort in the ocean.
  • Special children's lessons may be available — please contact us for details.

7. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
  • Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached amicably, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
  • GoSurf Sri Lanka reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and take effect immediately upon publication.
